DoDI 5200.01, DoD Information Security Program and Protection of Sensitive Compartmented Information ✅ Correct Answer: B. DoDI 5200.48, Controlled Unclassified Information This is the official DoD Instruction that establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) within the Department of Defense A. To record all CUI training completions for federal employees. This is incorrect . While federal employees are required to complete CUI training, a centralized public registry like this is not used for tracking individual training records. Training records are typically managed within an agency's internal systems or a government-wide learning management syste B. To serve as the official record of CUI incidents and unauthorized disclosures. This is incorrect . CUI incidents and unauthorized disclosures are classified as security events or breaches. They are reported and tracked through specific incident reporting channels and databases, not in the public-facing CUI Registry C. To provide the official guidance for CUI categories, markings, and handling procedures. This is correct . The CUI Registry, managed by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), is the authoritative, official source for CUI. Its main purpose is to list and define all approved CUI categories and subcategories, and provide the official marking requirements and handling guidance that all federal agencies must follow D. To list all government personnel who are authorized to handle CUI. This is incorrect . A public registry cannot be used to list individuals with access to CUI. Access to CUI is granted by individual agencies based on job duties and a lawful government purpose, and this information is managed internally by each agency, not in a centralized, public list.
